AmyBeth Ranieri, M.S.Ed.

AmyBeth began her career in Special Education on the east end of Long Island.  She received her undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s University, and her masters degree from Long Island University.  Over the past 20 years, she has had the opportunity to educate students in both New York and central Maryland counties.  AmyBeth has fulfilled the roles of a general educator, special educator, and a special education coach.  Currently, she is a Building Coordinator for Special Education and an Adjunct Faculty Member at Cecil Community College, where she provides special education coursework to undergraduate students pursuing elementary education/special education degrees.  Throughout the course of her career, she has immersed herself in supporting both students and parents as they navigate through the special education process.

AmyBeth is highly familiarized in the adherence of compliance measures identified through IDEA and MSDE, the IEP eligibility process, and working with school based IEP teams to meet the best needs of the student through positive collaboration and discussion.  As the IEP is a legal document, AmyBeth is knowledgeable in federal and state special education documents and forms necessary to formalize a coherent IEP.  AmyBeth provides a supportive and collaborative approach to advocacy when attending IEP team meetings, to coordinate in tandem with the school based IEP team, and put the needs of the student as the priority throughout the Special Education process.

Megan Dekowski, M.Ed, BCBA

Educational Consultant

Megan, a native of Ohio, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Moderate/Intensive Need Intervention from Kent State University and her Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. With over 21 years of experience in the field of Special Education, she has made significant contributions across three distinct school systems: Harford County Public Schools, Cecil County Public Schools, and the Christina School District. Throughout her career, Megan has served in various roles, including teaching in self-contained classrooms specializing in Autism, Communication, and Behavior Supports.

In addition to her teaching experience, Megan has held positions as a Behavior Specialist for Harford County, a Behavior Coach for Cecil County, and is currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at The Brennen School within the Christina School District. In each of her roles, Megan has been dedicated to supporting families through the IEP process, providing parent training, offering home resources, and maintaining strong, communicative relationships with all of the families she serves.
